Ghost Magneto and BG Kenny Lou, two Houston rappers buzzing around Texas, were killed late yesterday. The shooting took place in the night of November 27th outside popular gentleman's nightclub, Onyx. People on the scene heard 13 or more shots fired, according to abc13 KTRK news.
Ghost and Kenny Lou, real names Nicholas Esene and Kenyon Tennessee, were both known affiliates of local Crip gangs. Their video on Youtube, 'Nawl FR,' shows the two rappers proudly representing their gang ties.
The shooting is being considered an ambush style killing. Shots were fired into he rear passenger windows as soon as the two rappers arrived to the club. Whomever killed them, knew they were coming to the location. Witnesses saw 2 male shooters firing at the aspiring rappers, both of whom ran off on foot.
"He wanted to be a rapper real bad, he really did, he was excited about making his album," said Esene's grandmother, Brenda Harris.
Kenny Lou had a strong buzz building on social media, along with the Houtin rap scene. He had over 20,000 instagram followers (@bg_kennylou) before passing, many of whom are pouring out RIP wishes today. Ghost Magneto has just over 7000 instagram followers (@itsonly1ghost), gaining much of his clout through association to KL and Bobby Gang.
BG Kenny Lou has photos on instagram with J Prince Sr and videos with cameos from major Houston artists such as Sauce Walka, inventer of the 'drip.'
The two rappers are reported to be part of a serious on-going gang feud in Houston. Two friends of the Houston emcees were recently killed, also said to be members of their Crip gang crew.
